Unholy row breaks out over religious game

LONDON, UK – Religious leaders have condemned an online game that pits Hindu god Ganesha against Mohammed and Jesus.

Faith Fighter, which is free, has attracted criticism from a number of religious leaders, according to London newspaper Metro. Buddhists are also offended by Faith Fighter.

According to Metro, the developers of the game aren’t worried about the fuss Faith Fighter has generated. Italian company Molleindustrie justifies the game by saying it’s to get online gamers to think about how holy individuals are used to justify wars and conflicts between different people.

That’s not how the British Federation of Muslim Organisations thinks. A spokesman said that portraying Mohammed in theis fashion is offensive to Islam. The Buddhist Association of Britain said Faith Fighter was just futile.
