Inside Network has concluded that fifty percent of Facebook’s young female members are utterly incapable of managing their privacy settings.
According to a recent survey conducted by the market research firm, only 11 percent of the surveyed individuals “understood” FB’s default privacy tools, while the remaining 39 percent reported a “partial” understanding.
In addition, 39 percent of female users apparently felt uncomfortable about their personal information displayed on Facebook, while 36 percent were comfortable and 25 percent expressed a neutral opinion.
Finally, the survey discovered that many users were “baffled” about adding or removing specific information from their profiles.
However, the market research firm did emphasize that “frequent redesigns” of the ever-evolving Facebook user interface had undoubtedly contributed to the above-mentioned phenomenon.
