Microsoft has introduced a competitor to Google’s popular Streetview application. It’s called Streetside.
The tool already has street views of many US cities and adds to the experience by layering in comments and tweets that will integrate with Streetside.
Satya Nadella, the Microsoft senior VP for Online Services reckons it builds not just a collection of photos stitched together but a place that can connect to all types of information using Twitter.
A connected application called What’s Nearby gives information about stores and restaurants in the vicinity of the street in question.
