OoVoo – a social video chat provider that claims 54 million subscribers – has updated its Android and iOS apps to support four-way video chats and text conversations with up to 12 people.
Fortunately, the video chat service is still free and, as noted above, available for Android and iOS, as well as Windows PCs, Mac OS X and even as a Facebook app.
The new Andoid app offers deep integration with the operating system’s native address book and Google API, along with a new status widget that enables easy one touch chat sessions on a tablet or smartphone home screen.
The app also features optimized multiparty communications for LTE networks – allowing users to make calls when they’re away from Wi-Fi networks at home.
The app boasts push notifications so users are always online and reachable to friends. Users can also initiate text chats with anyone during a videoconferencing session on iOS and Android versions of the application.
The app is available for download right now via the App Store and Google Play.
