San Francisco (CA) – Samsung has introduced a line of DualView cameras aimed at narcissistic social networkers. According to Samsung, the TL225, TL220 and CL65 will provide a “whole new approach” to personal photography.
“The growing popularity of social networking sites has given rise to the
self-portrait or profile picture with many consumers turning their
digital camera on themselves to become the subject of their photo,”
Samsung explained in a statement. “Delivering twice the fun of any other compact digital camera, Samsung DualView Cameras truly put the photographer in the picture. The [TL225 and TL220] cameras feature dual LCDs with one on the front of the camera and another one on the back.”

Indeed, both the TL225 and TL220 feature a smart gesture user interface (UI) with a built-in gravity sensor that can be activated with a simple tap on the front LCD. The camera is then automatically set to self portrait mode with smile detection, allowing bored social networkers to snap endless pictures of themselves.
