If the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) loses their own explosives and nobody is around to see it, did it still happen?
Yes. Because those tax payer fed buffoons lost a live bomb from a drill they were doing at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix.
That’s why I think people (media, Joe six-pack) should stop perpetuating the myth that the DHS is some sacred force of protectors who is dedicated to insuring we are met with no bodily harm from the bad guys.
After all, the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 is coming up and there’s no better time to evaluate whether or not we actually need Big Sis’ safety brigade anymore.
They’re bringing SkyHawk drones aka killbots to police our and skies and they can’t even keep track of their own explosives? Those are the people we want snooping through every aspect of our lives to find bad guys.
The kind of people that would lose explosives, would you really trust them to safely and responsibly operate a militarized drone that can taze you and shoot at you with a shotgun or grenade launcher?
Do we really want our protection force to become a bunch of DHS approved chair jockeys? They don’t even have to physically make people kiss their boots anymore; they can just do it with a remote control and see it all from the comfort of a situation room.
They may have been created by Bush as a response to the September 11 attacks, but their actions have led to an assault on The Constitution and the establishment of a national security state.
DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano gets a lot of crap from commenters. She was even dubbed Big Sis’ by alternative media icon Matt Drudge. She claims that she only wants to help protect us and isn’t deserving of such harsh criticism, but The DHS has repeatedly lied about privacy and health threats associated with naked body scanners and withheld information.
She has been a terrible head of our security and DHS as a whole has only made the US seem like some kind of empire in decline who rapidly approaching the martial law stage.
Big brother exists and it exists because we welcomed the technology and surveillance it would take to keep us safe. And now we have to accept the fact that the government organization who secures the homeland cannot even keep track of dangerous explosives.
Explosives that most bad guys and terrorists would love to get their hands on. We do have the best explosives after all.
I don’t know about you, but I think that it’s absurd that ten years after 9/11, the organization that was created to protect us from more attacks can’t keep track of explosives. Our tax dollars go towards paying these people?
If you were paid to work with explosives would you ever allow yourself to lose track of them? I didn’t think so.
I think after 9/11 the best thing to do would be to educate the public to see DHS for the sham that it really is. Ten years after 9/11 and these guys are losing explosives during a live drill. The DHS sounds like a failure to me.
