Opera has confirmed that it will be offering attendees of the 2010 Mobile World Congress (MWC) a sneak preview of its mini browser for the Apple iPhone.
The optimized app is expected to feature advanced compression technology, tabs, speed dial and a password manager.
“We are thrilled to offer journalists and partners an exclusive preview of Opera Mini for iPhone during the year’s biggest mobile event,” explained Opera co-founder Jon von Tetzchner.
“This is a unique opportunity to introduce the fast, feature-rich Opera Mini experience for the iPhone. [Our] mission is to bring the Web to the world, and by making Opera Mini available on yet another platform, we are one step closer.”
Tetzchner added that Opera planned to showcase beta versions of its browser and cross-platform Widgets Manager for other mobile operating systems, including Symbian S60, Windows Mobile and Android.
