Microsoft releases third anti-Apple ad: It’s Blu-ray!

Redmond (WA) – Microsoft launched its third Laptop Hunters commercial. This time, there is a budget of $1500 and the target is a fast gaming laptop with a big hard drive. And guess what: They end up with a PC again.

If you had $1500 to spend on a laptop right now, what would you look for. A PC or a Mac? If you have done your initial research, then you already know that you will end up with a regular 13” Macbook, a 250 GB hard drive, 2 GB of memory and Nvidia 9400 graphics – that’s about it.

Jackson and his mom try finding the perfect notebook for about $1500, it needs “speed for gaming” and a big hard drive. The first look at PCs, then check the “pretty” Macs, but end up at PCs again. Microsoft throws in hints that PCs are available in more colors than Macs and have bigger screens. In the end, the available Blu-ray drive on a 16.4” Sony notebook seals the deal.
