Is the Android-powered Aigo an iPad killer?

The Android-powered Aigo tablet boasts a 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and features Nvidia’s Tegra 2 graphics chipset. But does the Aigo have what it takes to be an Apple iPad killer?

Well, let us take a closer look at the specs.

According to Engadget, the Aigo also includes 512MB of DDR2 memory, an 800 x 480 pixel multitouch display, 4/16/32GB of inbuilt storage, a USB socket, microSD slot, HDMI output, inbuilt WiFi, optional 3G WWAN, audio in / out, a 3,120mAh battery and yes, Android 2.1!

“Well, what do you know? Seems as if this here device may in fact be a Compal NAZ-10 in disguise,” writes Engadget’s Darren Murph.

“And if this YouTube video is to be believed, it’ll boast 16 hours of HD video playback on a single charge and a $300 price tag. Can you say ‘tempting?'”

Meanwhile, ChiniTech reports that the Aigo tablet will support Flash 10.1, eBook functionality, access to Kaixin, QQ games, Office files and Push e-mail.

“Specifications are better than its main competitor the iPad, except the lower resolution due to a smaller screen.

“However it has lower weight, a USB plug and it supports Flash. [Yes], the number one iPad-Killer seems to be Aigo N700.”
