Welcome to Endless City! This gothic, film noir demo – which artfully blends computation and graphics – was created to showcase Fermi’s advanced tessellation capabilities.
As Nvidia’s Tony Tamasi explains, the procedurally generated world of Endless City is powered by an L-system with a “couple dozen” base primitives.
The demo uses tessellation to generate an immense amount of complex geometric detail at approximately 1.3 billion polygons per second, while boasting over a thousand light sources.
Awesome, eh?
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see technology like this (fully) implemented in next-gen video games!
