Star Wars fans! Prepare to have your geek lust stoked to the point where you may well have an aneurysm.
Yes, an enterprising computer mod builder named Ken Swallow has constructed the ultimate Star Wars case mod – which neatly fits the dark and light side of computing into one awesome case.
Inside the Millennium Falcon are the innards from both a Mac OS X computer and a Windows PC. Yes, there are two completely separate systems packed into the slick Millennium Falcon replica.
Interestingly, the case for the mod started off as a standard model of the Millennium Falcon that Ken gutted, leaving behind only the hardware needed to make the model’s sound effects work.
Inside the leftover shell of the Millennium Falcon, the builder placed an MSI ATX motherboard with a 3.2 GHz processor, 200 GB hard drive, and 1 GB of RAM (for the Windows PC).
The Mac computer is powered by a Titanium G4 867 MHz PowerPC along with an 80 GB hard drive and 1 GB of memory. The custom computer also features a Linksys wireless card for Wi-Fi access and an AirPort card for the Mac.
If you think this sounds like a lot of work, I’m sure it was. If you can’t live another day without having your own Millennium Falcon computer, this one is for sale on Esty. Before you quickly click that link and dig out your wallet, be warned there’s only one available (at least for now) and he’s asking a cool $2,800.
If you’re wondering, the Mac computer runs OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) while the PC is loaded with Windows 7 Ultimate.
