Digital Storm has introduced an Optimus-powered laptop aimed at hard-core gamers and high-end users.
“The XM15 is a new [class of] laptop that delivers targeted extreme performance when required,” DigStorm rep Rajeev Kuruppu told TG Daily in an e-mailed statement.
“[This means] you’ll enjoy longer operation without losing the ability to enjoy the visual intensity of HD movies, multimedia applications, surfing the web and gaming.”
According to Kuruppu, the XM15 is capble of significantly extending laptop battery life by automatically increasing and decreasing performance based on user activity.
However, he emphasized that the process of switching between the two graphic processors (discrete Nvidia and integrated Intel) occurs “automatically and seamlessly” – without interrupting the user.
