Detailed specs of Samsung’s first official Chrome OS netbook have been positively identified in Google’s code repository.
Dubbed “Alex,” the system apparently features a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 processor along with 2GB of RAM.
In addition, the netbook boasts a SanDisk SSD (capacity unknown), a 1280 x 800 pixel display resolution, Ethernet port, Synaptics TouchPad and a front-facing webcam.
As expected, “Alex” also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G cellular connectivity.
Meanwhile, Peter Cartwright of Netbook News reports that specs for additional devices have surfaced, most notably Acer’s ZGB netbook and a Chrome-powered “Seaboard” touchscreen device, which could either be a tablet or hybrid tablet with keyboard.

“There are more Tegra 2 devices in the bug reports but only code names ‘Kaen,’ ‘Aebl,’ ‘Harmony’ and ‘Wario’ so far,” Cartwright explained.
“Outside of Tegra 2, there’s also a Dell L 13, which might just be a Dell Latitude 13 for testing purposes. [Yes], Chrome OS devices are expected to hit within the next 2 – 3 months but nobody’s officially announced anything yet.”
