Rikomagic is perhaps best known for its popular lineup of Android MK802 HDMI TV dongles (PC-on-a-stick).
Nevertheless, the manufacturer appears to be expanding its presence in the lucrative set-top market as well, with a new Android media player recently tipping up on the company’s website.
Dubbed the MK902, the set-top box is equipped with a quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex A9 RK3188 (Rockchip) processor paired with an ARM Mali 400-MP4 GPU, 2GB RAM, 8-16 GB flash storage and a 5MP camera for video conferencing.
Additional key specs include WiFi (with external antenna), Bluetooth 4.0, 10/100M Ethernet, HDMI, AV output, optical SPDIF, 4x USB 2.0 host ports and a 5V / 2.5A power supply.
According to CNX Software, the MK902, slated to run Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), is packaged with an HDMI cable, AV cable (composite + stereo audio), power adapter and user’s manual.
Rikomagic has yet to release any information about pricing or availability, although TG Daily will keep you posted when Rikomagic’s Android set-top box goes live for launch.
