Google is getting the hot tongue and cold shoulder from Apple over its Voice application, according to TechCrunch.
The site said that Apple has withdrawn all Google Voice related applications from its App Store and has even blocked Google Voice itself.
The reason is, says TechCrunch, that Google Voice applications copy some of the functionality of the iPhone. A Google rep told the site that Apple has not “approved” its application.
TechCrunch speculates that the reason Apple has got ants in its pants is that AT&T really really dislikes Google Voice because it has the potential to bite into its own carrier market.
Either way, it’s caused quite a stink and Apple just might be forced to reconsider its move. Apple isn’t very bendy or flexible about stuff though.
