Asus is reportedly prepping a new laptop/tablet hybrid that features an Intel Haswell processor paired with a 1366 x 768 pixel display.
The upcoming device may also be capable of dual booting Windows 8.1 and Android. However, as Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, there may very well be multiple versions of the tablet, one loaded with Android and the other with Windows 8.1.
According to MobileGeeks, the Asus TD300LA, slated to launch during CES 2014 (January), is a two-in-one device.
Meaning, the tablet will feature a fully detachable physical keyboard dock. The hybrid will likely be available with a choice of Intel Core i3-4020Y or Core i7-4610Y processor.
“Both chips are quad-core processors with Intel HD graphics and they’re based on Intel’s 4th-generation Core, or ‘Haswell’ technology, which means they’re relatively low power chips that offer long battery life as well as speedy performance,” explained Linder.
“In other words, the Asus TD300LA will likely be faster (and more expensive) than this year’s Asus T100TA 2-in-1 tablet with an Intel Atom ‘Bay Trail’ processor.”
CES 2014 officially kicks off on January 7 in Las Vegas.
