Lenovo is showcasing its new Nvidia Tegra 3-powered tablet at CES 2012. The 10-inch IdeaTab K2 boasts a premium IPS display and runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).
The quad-core device – which is capable of displaying images at 1200×800 pixel resolution – features SRS surround sound, HDMI out, up to 64GB of storage and 1GB or 2GB of DDR3 memory. The IdeaTab K2 will also support 3G and 4G LTE, as well as a charging station.
Unfortunately, Lenovo has yet to set a price point for the high-end tablet, which is likely targeted at the same demographic snapping up Apple’s wildly popular iPad and the Asus Transformer Prime.
The tablet is slated for an initial launch in China over the next few months. International launch dates, while expected, have not yet been confirmed by Lenovo.
In addition to the IdeaTab K2, Lenovo debuted its 10-inch IdeaTab S2-10 tablet, which measures 8.69 mm thick and weighs in at 1.27-pounds. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8960 dual-core 1.7GHZ CPU and runs Android 4.0.
The tablet – which is capable of rendering images at 1280×800-pixel resolution – includes a front camera (1.3MP) and a 5-megapixel rear camera, two USB ports, 3G, up to 64GB storage, an optional keyboard/dock and a whopping 9 hours of battery life.
The IdeaTab S2-10 should hit store shelves during the second quarter of 2012 at an unspecified price point.
