The 2010 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona boasted numerous mobile wares, tons of tapas, a multitude of mobile operating systems and apps aplenty.

2010 Mobile World Congress

With Nokia and Intel announcing Linux based OS Meego, Microsoft launching its Zune interface for phones and almost everyone waxing lyrical about the greatness of Android, it was clear this year’s mobile focus was squarely software based – perhaps even the first time that mobile software has caught up to the hardware in terms of importance.

Ballmer, Schmidt, Queen Rania of Jordan,Vodafone, HTC, Samsumg, Motorola, OpenPeak, RIM, Samsung and Adobe…They were all there too, soaking up the atmosphere and mobile momentum.

All in all, an exciting, invogorating show. Next Month’s CTIA in Las Vegas may have a fair bit to live up to.
