If you’ve been waiting and praying for the day when Japanese vocalist Hatsune Miku will sing in English, well my friends, that day has finally come.
If you don’t know who Miku is, she happens to be the best singer straight out of Japan.
Oh, did I mention that she’s also a virtual avatar?
The digital star – created by Crypton Media – is projected on stage in front of live audience members who seem to love her perfectly tuned pitch compliments of Yamaha’s Vocaloid voice synthesizer.
Yeah, T-Pain, eat your heart out!
The recent news of her English singing debut comes straight from Miku’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, in which its administrators confirmed that the pop princess will indeed release a CD in English.
The vague nature of the Facebook update only adds to the singers mystique when administrators said, “Officially inform that ‘Hatsune Miku sings in English’ later.”
All 39,390 Facebook fans are surely rejoicing over in Japan.
In preparation for the release, Crypton President Hiroyuki Itoh, who appeared at New York’s Comic Con last month, asked all 39,390 fans to support Miku in her new endeavors by showing their support via social media.
