Video: This modded iPad does 3D

A Taiwanese-based company has modded a first-gen iPad with a 3D-enabled display.

“Sure, we’ve all heard the rumors that the Apple iPad 3 is going to be sporting a 3D display, but seeing an iPad with a 3D display is a completely different story,” explained Nicole Scott of Netbook News.

“[Still], whether or not Apple decides to produce a 3D iPad will remain a mystery for a few more months. [But in the meantime], it is clear CPT has the capabilities to create the screen size needed for Apple.”

According to Scott, the modded iPad runs iOS 4.2.

And although it is 3D enabled, the device still requires users to wear uncomfortable glasses – unlike Nintendo’s handheld 3DS game console.
