PC version of Trine to arrive in summer ’09

San Francisco (CA) – SouthPeak Interactive has announced that the PC version of Trine will be released in summer ’09. The popular fantasy game recently won the GameSpot Editors’ Choice Award for “Best Downloadable Game” at E3 2009 in Los Angeles.

“Trine had an amazing E3 and we can’t wait to get it into the hands of PC gamers,” said Richard Iggo of SouthPeak. “The PC platform gives as many players as possible the chance to join forces and find creative methods for completing game objectives. It’s up to them to determine how their quests will progress and how they’ll ultimately achieve victory.”

Trine – set in a kingdom on the verge of chaos – offers players the opportunity to assume the role of a warrior, a wizard and a thief. The three are bound by a powerful artifact known as “the Trine.” Together, the trio stands fast against the forces of space, energy and motion as they battle the regime of a dangerous, dark sorcerer.

Trine, which features three-player cooperative play, grants each character specific abilities to solve complex puzzles and formulate new methods of defeating enemies.

For example, the wizard uses magic to create objects and new paths, the Thief exploits her agility to quickly best enemies, while the Warrior unleashes pure destruction “everywhere he travels.”

Trine will also be available for download on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms sometime in 2009.
