Excitement was high this afternoon at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, with long lines of hyped, hard-core gamers snaking around several blocks.

Thousands of attendees waited on the cold Boston streets for the massive exhibit hall to open. Others attempted to drown their barely concealed impatience in nearby bars by drinking pints of beer and listening to Led Zeppelin songs.
When the doors finally swung open at 2PM, the mass of gamers surged forward into the exhibition hall where they quickly clustered around hundreds of booths, including Nvidia, Intel, ATI, EA, Microsoft, THQ, 2K, Wizards of the Coast and Rockstar Games.
