A coordinated denial of service attack has taken down trendy micro-blogging service twitter. Millions of people worldwide are reeling at the shock of not being able to describe just how delicious their skinny lattes with a dash of maple syrup are.
TG Daily can confirm that we have been unable to access the service for some hours and are, quite frankly, at a complete loss to know what to do next after being unable to mind meld with the twitterati.
In a statement on its status blog, Twitter said, “We are defending against a denial-of-service attack, and will update status again shortly.”
The attack started mid-morning, EST, and is still affecting users around the world.
In the meantime, users will need to resort to old technology, such as talking to each other using biological tweeting devices known as mouths and ears.
It’s crazy, but it just might be the start of Web 3.0.
