Disney is launching an application for the iPhone and iTouch that lets users take photos of Disney images and then converts them into 3-D pictures on the device.
Using Click2Life, users can snap a picture of a Disney image on a television or poster to receive special content such as animated inages or product offers.
The free app features videos, games and live streaming of Disney Radio, and allows users to watch music videos and buy Disney music from Apple’s iTunes store.
For example, a user could photograph a movie poster to receive related video content or wallpaper images for a cellphone screen. In the future, the company reckons that the bonus content could be linked to location, established via GPS. This could mean special offers from local stores or cinemas.
With nearly 31 million unique visitors per month, Disney reckons it is the world’s number one mobile entertainment site.
