Forget CoD, Halo 4 is going FTW!

This Fall promises to be an incredible windfall for the gaming industry.

Just a few of the big titles that will soon be hitting the market include Halo 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II, 007 Legends, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Assassin’s Creed III, Need For Speed Most Wanted and more.

The gaming market has endured a lot of ups and downs, but it looks like this Fall is going to be huge for games. So what’s the most anticipated game of the upcoming season? According to one estimate, drum roll please, it is…

Halo 4. This report comes in from Cinema Blend, who based their info on a Nielson Game Rank Report. This isn’t a big surprise, in fact, when you look at the charts, both Halo 4 and Call of Duty both have a 99% gaming rank. According to the Blend report, Halo 4 has a 0.25 lead on Call of Duty.

Right behind Halo and Call of Duty are Assassin’s Creed III at 98%, Resident Evil 6, which came out on October 2, at 96%, and NBA 2k13, which also went live on October 2, at 87%. As Blend further reports, on the PS3 lists, Call of Duty is #1 for PS3, then Assassin’s Creed III at #2, and Resident Evil 6 at #3.

As we previously reported on TG, Microsoft has claimed that Halo 4’s awareness could be as big, if not bigger, than The Avengers. While it’s doubtful the release of Halo 4 will overshadow the Presidential election, which takes place the same day, there’s little doubt Halo 4 will indeed be a big event when it’s finally unleashed.
