We’ve seen quite a few interesting trailers and teasers for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3 video game over the past few months – a title which is set during the bloody days of the American Revolution.
One of the more interesting trailers was the recent naval warfare walkthrough, which features highly realistic oceans, dynamic weather and amazingly rendered ships.
Of course, Assassin’s Creed 3 will have a multiple player side as well, and Ubisoft Annecy says there will be more focus on multiplayer features compared to earlier titles in the franchise.
Indeed, multiplayer environments themselves are expected to offer a greater impact on gameplay. Meaning, weather effects such as sudden rain storms or blizzards will impact visibility. Plus, players can execute specialized environmental kills using objects like bottles and axes.
Multiplayer game scenarios are slated to feature Wolfpack and Domination modes. Wolfpack can best be described as a wave-based co-op mode where the players hunt and eliminate their targets, while Domination is more of a traditional four on four team experience.
Assassin’s Creed 3 players can also expect fresh content to be rolled out quite frequently, with Ubisoft Annecy game director Damien Kieken saying: “As you progress in the game and level up your character, you access these files and videos. Every month you’ll have new challenges to unlock new content that will continue the storyline throughout the year.”
