As if there wasn’t already enough to do in Bethesda’s epic Elder Scrolls V Skyrim game, new downloadable content is on the way.
The next installment in the series of DLC is called Hearthfire, and it allows players to buy their own land and build a home from the ground up, “from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with armory, alchemy laboratory, and more,” Bethesda explains.
The company further details the new offering, saying, “Choose your land, customize your house, guard it from unwanted visitors, and turn your house into a home by adopting children.”
The first trailer of the new content has just been released, and here it is:
Hearthfire will be available on September 4 for around $5 on the Xbox 360.
Of course, the PS3 version won’t come out until later. Bethesda took forever to launch Dawnguard, the previous DLC, on Sony’s console, and this time should be no different.
In Dawnguard, players gained, among other things, the ability to join a vampire hunting mission with a group called Dawnguard, or they can become a vampire and be a part of the uprising instead.
Skyrim, an epic and wildly anticipated new entry in the Elder Scrolls series, was recognized last year by taking away the top prize – Game of the Year – at the annual Video Game Awards.
