Treyarch offers behind-the-scenes video for Black Ops II

One of the most anticipated video games of the year is Call of Duty: Black Ops II, with core gamers of all ages impatiently waiting to play the title when it finally launches.

We first learned that Black Ops II was confirmed to be in the works back in May. Since then we’ve seen a trailer for the game and now Treyarch is offering a sweet behind-the-scenes video featuring none other than Trent Reznor and David S. Goyer.

Now if you’ve somehow missed the fact that the game is being scored by rocker Trent Reznor, this video will help get you up to speed. For the uninitiated, Reznor has been in the music industry since 1982 and is best known as the front man for Nine Inch Nails. Reznor has also produced musical scores for films, including collaborations with Atticus Ross for The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Of course, Black Ops II isn’t Reznor’s first video game effort, as Nine Inch Nails are credited with the original music from the 1996 video game Quake. Reznor also worked on the musical score for Doom 3 but ultimately abandoned the project.

In the behind-the-scenes video for Black Ops II, Reznor says he believes video games have expanded into the largest form of entertainment, as popular title have managed to successfully challenge the earnings of some Hollywood studios. Goyer is also well-known in his own right, as he co-wrote The Dark Knight Rises, which will be hitting theaters this weekend.
