It took forever for the Hulk to finally take off on the big screen, but once he joined up with the Avengers, he finally was great on the big screen. While some feel the new Avengers movie is a bit of a disappointment, which is funny for a movie that made over a billion world-wide, the question is where will the Hulk go from here.
The Daily Beast reports that in regards to Captain America Civil War, Ruffalo tweeted, “The Marvel family gets just a little bigger,” and when asked if The Hulk will appear in Civil War, the actor said, “I don’t know! I heard a rumor about that the other day. I haven’t seen a script, nobody’s told me, and I don’t have dates. But I can only hope so!”
Ruffalo would also say that Robert Downey Jr wants him aboard Civil War, so maybe he is indeed coming aboard, but just can’t say anything about it right now. We’re sure there will be more Hulk to come, and as The Avengers have proven, he’s much better as part of a group than on his own on the big screen.
Ruffalo likes playing the big green guy, and as he told the Beast, “I like the challenge of it. I like the cultural significance of it…The messaging of it is pretty good. It has a decency about it. I always feel like this is our modern mythology, in a way. We’ve been doing this since the time we could draw on cave walls…but we’re still working out the same stuff – violence, brotherhood, and more.”
