Lionsgate has released the first trailer for its upcoming Silent Hill sequel.
Revelation follows the story of Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens), as she is forced to return to the town of Silent Hill to rescue her father (Sean Bean) and her new boyfriend (Kit Harington).
Incidentally, this is the first time Bean and Harrington have worked together, as the filming for Revelations was completed before the two were cast in the first season of Game of Thrones for HBO in the roles which solidified their respective places in geek culture.
The trailer has a lot of really great looking effects, but also a lot of very creepy scenes, and judging from the first film, and the video games, the creep factor will be very high in this film. Probably too high for me, personally, but I know there are plenty out there who like that sort of stuff. The effects, especially the wide shots of the dark infestation sweeping across towns and such, are enough to make me wish I was into creepy films.
We also have this plot sysnopsis:

For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
