The word on the street is that Google wants to buy Motorola’s cellphone division.
That would give Google more than just a foothold in the mobile phone business.
The big question is, is it true? The answer is that it’s a rumor. If it is true, then the antitrust authorities might well be interested.
And the rest of the industry would be, well fuming. Neither Google nor Motorola will comment on speculation like this.
