Mark Zuckerberg’s sister starts own company

It appears the Zuckerberg entrepreneurial spirit will live on in another Zuckerberg.

The sister of the founder of Facebook Mark has left her cushy job at the social networking site to start RtoZ Media, a company that specializes in, what else, social media campaigns.

Randi Zuckerberg says she is more focused on enterprise, or professional, Facebook and Twitter account users.

“My goal is to launch my own innovative programming and work with media companies to develop their programming in new, and more social ways,” she reportedly wrote in her letter of resignation.

Randi, who TMZ likes to call “the luckiest sister since Oprah’s sister,” had been the marketing director for Facebook. Among her innovations at the post was helping to develop Facebook Live, the site’s live video streaming service.

Of course, the hole at Facebook will not easily be filled. Even though she really only got the job because she’s a blood relative of the guy who created the company, it wasn’t all about nepotism. Her work with Facebook Live was so worthwhile that she was nominated for an Emmy.

However, there are legions of highly successful marketing figures who would cut off their right arm to get into an executive Facebook position, and surely someone can step into the role and add his or her own spin.

For Randi, the new company is sure to be a smash hit. After all, no one has insight into Facebook like she does, and companies will no doubt easily fork over money to get a piece of her expertise.
