Kodak settles legal spat with Samsung

Legal differences between Samsung and Kodak have been resolved and the Korean company will pay royalties as a result.

Both Kodak and Samsung will also cross license each other’s patent portfolio, and legal cases pending in the US and German courts over alleged infringements will come to an end.

Last month, Kodak entered into a similar arrangement with LG. As in that case, Samsung has already made one royalty payment to Kodak, and future royalties will acrrue.

Kodak did not disclose details of the financial settlement, but both it and Samsung have petitioned the International Trade Commission (ITC) to settle complaints made to it about the alleged infringements.
