Google removes several British Street View images

London (England) – Over the weekend, in light of several recent complaints over the online images posted via Google Street View in England, the search giant has removed several images requested by its citizenry, in addition to several other images which people found offensive.

Among the removed images are those of a man exiting a sex shop in London’s Soho neighborhood, a man caught vomiting outside a pub in London, and a group of individuals who requested via Google’s online form to have their address removed from the service.

An American Google spokeswoman would not give specific numbers on the photo count removed, though she said the number was “less than expected.”

Google Street View is currently available in select cities in England, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.
