Apple ships a million Macbooks in Q4

Apple has shipped more than a million of its new laptop line the Macbook Air, proving that it is more than just an iPod and iPhone company these days.

During the fourth quarter of last year, Apple says it shipped in excess of one million Macbook Air computers. That is ahead of expectations and shows just how much of a name Apple still has in the world of computers.

There was almost no marketing push or promotional budget for Apple’s computer line over the holiday season. Instead, the company focused on ratcheting up its message on iPod Touch and iPad sales.

Those were through the roof too, but it’s important to realize Apple is not just a one-trick pony.
