Check out this new “custom environment” that allows an OMAP3-powered Beagleboard to run a total of four operating systems – simultaneously.
The platform – aptly dubbed Super-Jumbo and developed by Always Innovating – currently supports Android 2.3, Ubuntu Maverick 10.10, Chrome OS and AI’s very own AIOS.
AI’s Super-Jumbo OS can be downloaded here, while a BeagleBboard is available for $150 here.
The entire disk image weighs in at just 2.04GB, which, as Liliputing’s Brad Linder points out, isn’t bad at all for four complete operating systems.
Personally, I think Super-Jumbo is a pretty cool concept, at least for devs writing code on or for multiple platforms. Of course, shelling out $150 on a niche tech product isn’t all that farfetched, is it?
