Apple has released a new versions of iTunes music platform, but its release notes are exactly the same as the previous iteration of the software, leaving everyone to wonder what exactly was changed behind the scenes.
In the release notes, the update promises:
– “Sync with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.3”
– “Improved Home Sharing. Browse and play from your iTunes libraries with Home Sharing on any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.3”
These are exactly the same as the release for iTunes version 10.2. Today’s update is version 10.2.1.
Usually even a tiny update will at least point out that it fixes a few minor bugs or increases stability, but Apple has said absolutely nothing about this update.
This likely means something was off with the previous update and Apple just doesn’t want to say what it was.
Either way, users should download the new version before they update their iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to iOS 4.3, to prevent any problems with the new operating system.
