Mighty search engine colossus Google has introduced the beta version of a program whih units instant messaging, email and wiki-writing.
It’s also introduced a new set of words which we can add to our already overloaded tech vocabularies.
The beta of Google Wave was offered to 100,000 people – each can ask five other folk to join in the surf too.
The open source software means others can develop applications based on Wave. It’s organized in threads with the conversations called waves while sub texts are wavelets and individual conversations are called blips.
Holy Twitter!
Google didn’t say when Wave would be available to a wider range of people than the 100,000×5 beta testers.
