Taiwanese firm HTC said it has released its third Google Android phone by introducing the Hero.
HTC Sense comes with a whole set of marketing slogans – Make it Mine, Stay Close, and Discover the Unexpected – which amount to ways of designing the interface of the Hero to suit the way you want your phone to look.
The Hero phone has a 3.2-inch HVGA display and comes with GPS, a digital compass, a gravity sensor, a 3.5 millimeter stereo headset jack, a five megapixel autofocus camera and MicroSD memory.
The Hero has a Teflon coating, an anti-fingerprint screen and a bevel edged design.
The company will introduce the Hero in Europe in July and in Asia. It will also introduce a North American version later this year.
The phone uses a 528MHz Qualcomm microprocessor, weighs 4.76 ounces, supports HSPA/WCDMA, quad band GSM/GPRS/Edge, supports Bluetooth 2.0 and wi-fi.
