At the Gamescon Convention in Cologne, Germany, Microsoft announced plans to offer FIFA 14 in Europe for Xbox One pre-orders. The company also spoke about the slate of games that will be available at launch. Zumba Fitness is very unlikely, highly unlikely, to be in a bundle offering in a sign that Microsoft just doesn’t get the XBox mom market.
Presumably, Microsoft and Activision are talking about a Call of Duty: Ghosts bundle for those places where soccer isn’t going to cut it (cough, cough, the US).
In addition to Zumba Fitness: World Party, FIFA 14 and Call of Duty: Ghosts, expect to see Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Cobalt, Dead Rising 3, Fable Legends, Just Dance 2014, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, Need for Speed: Rivals, and Skylanders: Swap Force. a total of 24 launch titles are expected to be available.
In other interesting news from Gamescon, UbiSoft announced a Kinect version of a new game called Fighter Within and showcased the title in the video below:
“Fighter Within taps into the ultimate fighting game fantasy by offering players the most engaging and physical motion fighting experience on Xbox One,” said Geoffroy Sardin, EMEA Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, Ubisoft. “Players will square off against their friends to test their skills, prove their dominance and unleash their Fighter Within.”
Engadget also took a look at the new Kinect for Xbox One at Gamescon. Check out the video below. Pretty cool stuff.
