The very first footage from “jOBS” is here! The long-awaited independent film stars Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs and Josh Gad as Steve “the Woz” Wozniak.
The clip, obtained by ETonline, depicts Kutcher (as Jobs) trying to explain the importance of Wozniak’s graphic user interface (UI) to the future of computing.
Sadly, Woz (Gad) remains nonplussed, telling an over-excited Jobs that “nobody wants to buy a computer.”
But Jobs is insistent, asking “How does somebody know what they want if they’ve never even seen it?”
jOBS is slated to hit theaters on April 19, which coincides with Apple’s 37th anniversary. A preview of jOBS remains on track to make its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27. The biopic covers 30 years of Jobs’ life, from 1971 all the way up to 2000.
As we’ve previously discussed on TG Daily, “jOBS” is just one of two upcoming films focused on the late Apple co-founder.
The other movie is a big-budget, Sony-backed picture penned by industry veteran Aaron Sorkin which is based on Walter Isaacson’s official biography.
