The $59 RK3066 HDMI PC-on-a-stick is powered by a Rockchip RK3066 dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor.
The RK3066 features a standard HDMI output, a micro USB connector for power, an HDMI output and a full-size USB port for accessories. As expected, the device supports both WiFi and Blutooth connectivity options.
The video may depict the PC-on-a-stick without a case, but the developer promises the device is close to completion and will likely hit streets by the end of October.
Yes, the device runs Android 4.0 in the clip, but will be loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upon its official launch, along with full access to the Google Play store. Intrestingly, the RK3066 is apparently going to be slightly wider than the typical HDMI stick PC, but considering the performance and options, well, I think most people will be able to live with that.
As noted above, the uber-mini PC will be sold on the Armdevices.net member store for $59 plus $5 shipping.
If you’re interested in something with even more power than the RK3066, the Hi802 might be exactly what you are looking, as it may well be the most powerful HDMI stick computer released so far. This little beast packs a Freescale i.MX6 quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 1 GB RAM along with integrated Bluetooth and a USB hub.
The Hi802 is on track to ship this month for $89 – including global shipping. The stick PC sports a microSD card slot, a USB host and HDMI output.
