I’ve been really stoked about Crysis 3 ever since the game was officially confirmed earlier this year for a February 2013 launch on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PCs.
Like many others, I really enjoyed playing previous games in the franchise, including the original Crysis that launched in 2007 and Crysis Warhead which went live in September 2008.
So far, all the games have focused on a Special Forces soldier and his epic nanosuit that enables all sorts of special abilities. The franchise is well known for fantastic graphics and excellent game play – often prompting the famous “Yes, but can it play Crysis?” Well, we obviously expect the same and more for Crysis 3.
So far, we’ve seen a number of trailers for the upcoming game that made it look really stellar. For some reason, I just kind of assumed that the bow – one of the primary weapons in Crysis 3 – was rather lame. Well, I’ve since changed my mind after watching the latest trailer for the game which shows Nomad wielding a bow and raining silent destruction on enemies from both near and far.
Last month, Crytek unveiled a new 16-player multiple player mode called Hunter, and we expect to hear more about various aspects of the title leading up to the launch of the game early next year. Check out the new trailer above and see what you think. I’m certainly buying this game for my PC and I know I’ll definitely need to update some of my old PC hardware to be able to enjoy the game in all its glory.
