I’ve been a fan of James Bond movies for many years. Simply put, the franchise always represented more than just action flicks to me.
Truthfully, I’m primarily drawn to Bond because of the gadgets and the cars. As you may recall, the spymaster typically drove British vehicles, though he was also known to pilot other automobiles, including Fords and BMWs.
My all-time favorite James Bond car has to be the Lotus Esprit that turned into a submarine. However, the car most people probably associate with James Bond is the classic Aston Martin. Indeed, Bond has driven an Aston Martin DB5 in more than one film and that famous, classic Martin is returning in the upcoming Skyfall film set to hit theaters later this year.
Fortunately, a behind-the-scenes video showing some Bond scenes with the slick car recently turned up on YouTube, with the director and one of the producers explaining the importance of Aston Martin in the franchise.
As you can probably tell by now, I’m really looking forward to seeing Skyfall. Yes, I was always a Roger Moore fan, but Daniel Craig has turned out to be my favorite Bond ever. Plus, I really like how the new films are more realistic and gritty compared to their respective predecessors.
