We rarely hear anything about traditional desktop computers anymore, unless of course Apple unveils a sleek new iMac.
When one actually does read about a new Windows desktop computer, it tends to fall under the all-in-one category (AIO) such as the two new units Toshiba rolled out today. Dubbed the LX815 and LX835, the new systems are quite similar – with the exception of screen size.
The 815 boasts a 21.5-inch screen, while the 835 features a sweet 23-inch display.
Both of the AIO computers support 1080p resolution and are available with optional touchscreens.
The machines can be loaded with a wide range of third-gen Intel Core processors, up to 16 GB of RAM, and up to 3 TB of storage space.
As expected, the computers are also equipped with dual USB 3.0 ports, four additional USB 2.0 ports and USB sleep/charge ports
Additional AIO specs include SRS Premium Sound 3-D speakers from Onkyo, HDMI inputs for gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and other devices.
The Toshiba LX815 AIO starts at $599.99, with the LX835 carrying a based price tag of $879.99. Both machines are slated to land in early Q3 and will be Best Buy exclusives in retail stores, with broader availability expected online.
