I.B.M. and Borland Create Alliance

I.B.M. and Borland Software have announced that they will bundle their software in a move that specifically targets Windows and Linux software developers. I.B.M. has agreed to bundle 30-day trial versions of Borland’s C++Builder Enterprise, Kylix Enterprise and Delphi Studio Architect with shipments of both I.B.M.’s DB2 Universal Developer’s and DB2 Personal Editions software. The I.B.M. software will be bundled by Borland with shipments of its software. I.B.M. has also agreed to host a co-created portal on I.B.M’s web site for software developers, which will be co-marketed by Borland and I.B.M.
