Tarrytown (NY) – New York state officials are turning to technology to give would-be suicide jumpers some hope. The state’s Thruway Authority has installed “anti-suicide” phones on the Tappan Zee bridge which spans the Hudson River. More than 25 people have jumped to their deaths from the Tappan Zee Bridge in the past decade.
