Nokia's market share continues to slide

Mobile phone sales grew 35 percent worldwide in the last quarter compared to the same quarter a year ago but Nokia’s market share lead continued to slide, according to a study released Thursday by Gartner.

Overall, mobile phone sales were more than 156.4 million for the quarter, according to the study. Nokia had the leading market share with 29.7 percent, but that was a significant decrease compared to its 35.6 percent market share a year ago, the study said.
