XM Satellite Radio today announced that it has added about 640,000 new subscribers to its service during the second quarter of this year. This brings the firm’s total subscribership to about 4.4 million. Following XM is Sirius, which recently reported that it has about 1.5 million subscribers.
For the first fiscal quarter 2005, ended March 31, XM Satellite Radio reported revenues of $103 million and losses of about $119.9 million. (THG)
