Fujitsu has announced the B6210 LifeBook with “extra” long battery life and a touch sensitive screen. The 3.2-pound notebook has a 12.1″ touch screen and uses Intel’s Core Solo Ultra-Low-Voltage processor. Fujitsu claims the standard battery can deliver up to eight hours of battery life.
Ultra-portable computers are increasingly being used in hospitals and other medical facilities and the LifeBook has several security features to comply with medical privacy regulations. The computer has Trusted Platform Module along with an optional fingerprint swipe sensor and hard-drive password protection.
A modem and Gigabit Ethernet port provide wired connections while optional Bluetooth and Atheros Super AG wi-fi provide the wireless.
The Fujitsu LifeBook B6210 can configured and purchased on Fujitsu’s website. Prices start at around $1600.
